Faculty Spotlight

Dr. Patricia Sagasti Suppes

Patricia is Director of Global Engagement and Senior International Officer at Stockton University.

She has over twenty years of experience in higher education. After receiving an A.B. in Spanish and French with a minor in English from Sweet Briar College, she served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Morocco. Upon her return to the U.S. she earned an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Romance Languages and Literatures from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, specializing in modern Latin American literature in Spanish, with a minor in Francophone literature. In graduate school she participated in a study abroad intensive language program through the Alliance Française du Val de Loire, and earned a certificate from the UNC-Duke Consortium in Latin American and Caribbean Studies.

She’s co-editor of Transnational American Spaces, from Vernon Press, and author of various academic articles and book chapters.

Visiting Faculty teach and develop courses and seminars, and contribute to our Certificate in International Higher Education Program. They are scholars and scholar-practitioners with decades of experience.

Dr. M. Isabel Kamlongera

GlobalEd Faculty Lead in Decolonilization of Epistemology and Research Methods; Academic (PhD) with a research & teaching background in Development communication, Gender, and Critical Education; Marketing Communications expert (+8 years international corporate experience).

Dr. Bryan McAllister-Grande

Founder & Director, GlobalEd; Director, Academic Integration and Planning, Northeastern University; 20+ years in international higher education; Author of over 20 publications.

Dr. Rebecca Hovey

Director of the Office of Study Away, Trinity College-Hartford; GlobalEd Faculty & Fellowship Advisor; Former Dean of Global Studies, Smith College; Former Dean, SIT Study Abroad.

Ben Levy

Scholar-practitioner with over 20 years of experience; Former Senior International Officer; pursuing a Ph.D. from the University of Waikato (Aotearoa New Zealand) with a focus on tertiary education internationalisation partnerships in Moana Oceania.

Dr. Shahrzad Kamyab
